Here you will find all the classroom exercises for Biodiversity Call. Click the icons to download each exercise as a PDF. All exercises are designed to be used after playing Biodiversity Call in class, regardless of which subject you teach, although some exercises have stronger connections to certain subjects, as indicated below.

FROM GAME TO REALITY

Starting from the game, students discuss everyday choices that can strengthen biodiversity and ecosystems — both at school and at home. A discussion exercise with an optional practical component, designed to translate knowledge into concrete ideas and build students’ capacity to act.

HOME ASSIGNMENT: TAKE BIODIVERSITY CALL HOME

Students take the game’s ideas home, share what they learned with family or people close to them, and discuss how everyday choices can support nature. A home assignment designed to spread knowledge beyond the classroom and encourage reflection, conversation, and action.

Students explore how economies depend on species and ecosystem services, and discuss what consequences the loss of key species or ecological functions might have. An analysis and discussion exercise designed to connect ecological change to economics, society, and resource use.

WHOSE NATURE IS IT?

Students explore how competing societal interests can clash when threatened species and other natural resources are used — and how such conflicts affect both people and ecosystems. A perspective-taking and problem-solving exercise in which students identify conflicting interests and propose compromises and sustainable solutions.
