CHEMISTRY CALL

Chemistry Call educational card game about chemistry, atoms and molecules

What do you think weighs more – you, or the air in the room? Have you ever thought about that you, a wooden chair, and a diamond are made of the same basic building blocks? And did you know that pure gold is so soft, you can shape it with your fingers?

Chemistry Call challenges you to rethink the world around you through fascinating chemistry facts and mind-bending questions. This exciting card game — a sibling to our best-seller Climate Call — turns chemistry into a fun, engaging experience where you’ll guess, discuss, and discover the elements that shape everything from the air we breathe to the objects we use every day.

One round takes about 15 minutes to play. Just like Climate Call, the goal of the game is to place as many cards as possible in the correct order by size (here measured by weight). The game is just as suitable for playing with family and friends as it is for educational use. Suitable for a group of 2 to 6 players, aged 12 and up.

HOW IS CHEMISTRY CALL PLAYED?

PREPARATIONS

  1. The game is played individually or in teams.
  2. Place three cards in a row, face up (darker side) in front of each team.
  3. The remaining cards are placed in a pile next to them.
  4. Two cards are placed side by side, face down, in the middle of the table: this is the beginning of the “weight row”. Here, cards should be placed in the correct order from the lowest to the highest weight.

PLAY

One team starts by guessing where one of their cards should be placed on the weight row. Flip the card to reveal the weight in kilograms.

  • Correct? The card stays on the weight row. The turn goes to the next team.
  • Incorrect? The card is set aside. The team draws a new card. The turn goes to the next team.

The team that first gets rid of all their cards wins!
